This is a support group for women in their 20s and 30s who are working through depression or simply a difficult time in their life. I am starting this group because I would love to talk with other women struggling with feelings of sadness and isolation as part of a supportive, encouraging community. We can share our stories, give and receive advice, and discuss happiness related literature/films/spirituality, etc. The format will be a collective effort, but it the aim is to have meaningful conve …
Why is this not your average women's book club? 1. We are going to read fun intelligent books that probably won't be on Oprah's list. 2. We are going to meet up in bars and pubs (in the Beavertonish area) instead of living rooms and coffee shops. 3. You don't have to be a big reader, just read a few pages so you can discuss. You will never feel bad for not finishing the book here! 4. Last but not least we wont take ourselves to seriously. This is about meeting new friends and having a good time. …

If you're curious about the roles of women in 19th C. England during the Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian Eras, join us! We will also watch movies based on books that we've disc …

I want to create an environment where groups of young ladies (20s-30s) can share their love of reading in a safe and enjoyable setting. I am always looking for new people to share my interest in reading with and am looking forward to beginning a new group in which to do this! (This was from the original organizer, but the sentiment stands...so, there ya go.) Books are selected entirely online in a discussion board format along with a poll. Members are welcome to suggest books and vote for their …
